Operating at just 780km above Earth, the Iridium network provides low-latency, weather-resilient communications with stronger signals, shorter transmission paths, and faster registration times than traditional geostationary satellite systems. Each Iridium satellite is connected to up to four neighbouring satellites, forming a dynamic mesh network capable of routing traffic seamlessly across the globe to ensure continuous connectivity and operational resilience.
